We have a lot of very common questions that people ask us the first time we discuss their sewer issues. In order to save us both time, we have listed some of our most Frequently Asked Questions below. Some of our most common question are how much does trenchless sewer line repair costbelow, including: “How much does trenchless sewer repair cost?” and “Are you available for emergencies?” The answer to those questions and more are just below.

Q. How much does trenchless sewer repair cost?

A. Since each home / building is different, and each locality handles things differently, we unfortunately cannot give you an exact cost. We can give you a range however. The same can be said for pretty much all of our services.

Q. How do I know if my property is a candidate for Trenchless Sewer Line Repair / Replacement?

A. The only way to know for sure is to have us come out and diagnose your situation. But a rule of thumb is if you regularly are cleaning the line and have been told you have tree roots then you will in all likelyhood be a candidate for CIPP

Q. How long does the Trenchless Sewer Line Repair / Replacement take?

A. As with the issue of cost, it varies too much to give an exact answer but generally it takes 6-8 hours for most jobs but, as with the cost, it always varies depending on your situation.

Q. I live in Northern MN / Western WI / Eastern SD / Iowa, will you come here to help us with our sewer issue?

A. The short answer is yes.
The long answer is, it depends on a few factors. But first off, thanks for finding and considering us to help you with your sewer problems. We understand that you have an issue and you want the best which is why you are here. At the same time, we cannot drive 100 miles to give a free estimate, it’s just not feasible. If you give us a call or email we can discuss the details of your situation and hopefully we can work something out.

Q. Is Precision Lining & Sewer Certified in anything?

All of our Products and Equipment are all certified through:
NASTT (North American Society for Trenchless Technology)
WEF (Water Environment Federation)
ASTM International (American Society for Testing and Materials)
NASSCO (National Association of Sewer Service Companies)
NSF (National Science Foundation)
ICC ES PMG (International Code Council Evaluating Standards for Plumbing, Mechanical, and Fuel Gas)
UPC (Uniform Plumbing Code)

We are certified through our equipment supplier as certified Installers of Perma-Liner Products and equipment.

Q. Does Precision Lining & Sewer do “regular plumbing?”

A. No. We do, however, have a sister company in Kasper Plumbing and Septic

Q. We have an emergency, are you available 24 hours a day?

A. Yes. Contact right away!!!

Q. Do you have any proof that CIPP is better than traditional in terms of quality?

A. Once again, yes and no. The science shows that the CIPP method should last longer, but it hasn’t been around long enough to definitively, scientifically PROVE it. Here is a link to a study by the EPA on CIPP. If you read it, you will see that the statistics show that it looks like it will stand the test of time. If nothing else, there is a 50 year warranty on the materials.
